Tokyo Machine + Weird Genius + Lights: LAST SUMMER Remixes Out Now

The remix pack features several high-profile Asian artists.

In early 2021, Indonesia’s star electronic trio Weird Genius and Monstercat label veteran Tokyo Machine released a whimsical collab featuring electro-pop icon Lights. The anthemic record, Last Summer, racked up millions of streams, with its nostalgic harmonies and bright textures complemented by smooth, sultry vocals. Now, nearing the end of the current summer, a fresh new remix package has been released for the song. Featuring a plethora of Asian artists and a diverse range of styles, each remix easily pulls its weight along the original.

It was a summer so nice we did it twice!

Coming in with some classic future bass, newcomer Hoaprox hailing from Vietnam, shines with a synth-forward take on the track. Making his Monstercat debut in 2020, he’s quickly become a label staple and a driving force in Vietnam’s dance music landscape. Check out his remix below:

Airjordy, one of China’s hottest new multi-genre producers, brings traditional instruments into the mix coalescing with some bumpin’ drumstep.
