A new deadmau5 NFT collection with 5,555 generative 3D avatar heads has recently arrived. The head5 series is a collaboration with crypto artist Nick DenBoer III, aka Smearballs.
Joel Zimmeran, better known by his stage name Deadmau5, is taking his music even further into the digital realm with his next NFT package, head5. These new electronic offerings are the result of a partnership between Zimmerman and Nick denBoer, who has worked with him on show visuals for many years.
In this case, the head5 collection is a collection of different virtual mau5 helmets, as one might imagine. Since Zimmerman began recording music, the famed mau5head has become as a key component of his overall brand identity. So much so that fans all over the world have created their own replicas of the shirt, which they have worn to deadmau5 performances, Halloween parties, and other events.
Each helmet is divided into four sections: the skull, the eyes, the mouth, and the ears. However, only a few lucky consumers will receive a helmet made up of four constant parts, as most of the helmets on the market are composed of random pieces. Furthermore, with these NFTs, fans can own their avatars and have them wear them in over 450 digital and metaverse venues.
“I’ve been working with Joel on tour visuals and music videos for more than six years. The iconic mau5 head has been transformed into everything from dancing farm animals to 26-eyed aliens, but this is the first time I’ve attempted it at this scale. 5555 head5 is a legion of freaks that I hope his followers have a good time gathering and wearing in the metaverse,” – Nick denBoer
The head5 collection is currently available for purchase. Click here to link your wallet and claim your virtual work of art.
