Following consultations with "industry experts," Spotify has announced the launch of personalized playlists for pets.
The company has developed a playlist generator that is specifically tailored to the needs of pet owners who have iguanas, birds, hamsters, dogs, or cats. Simply select the appropriate animal from the drop-down menu, provide some information about their personality, and provide their name.
Following a sync of your preferences based on your account history, you’ll be presented with a selection of tracks curated specifically for your furry, feathered, or scaled companion. Here’s what you need to know about Spotify for Pets:
“While music for pets isn’t an exact science, we consulted with experts in the pet industry to come up with the best approximation of what might work best for the animals featured in this article. In addition, we only use the information you provide us to create your Pet Playlist, and we never share it with anyone else. No copies of the information are made, and it is not used for any other purpose.”
