The phase one lineup for the forthcoming 13th edition of the Indonesian dance music event Djakarta Warehouse Project, which will take place in December, has been announced, and it has a star-studded roster.
The lineup for the festival was revealed on August 17 via social media, and it features a stacked list of international DJs, including Dutch trance icon Armin Van Buuren, French producer DJ Snake, a returning Hardwell, American producer Illenium, French electropop producer Madeon, Dutch prodigy Martin Garrix, Amsterdam trap duo Yellow Claw, and Russian-German stalwart Zedd. There will be further announcements made regarding additional acts in the future.
The Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo Kemayoran) in Jakarta is going to be the location of the three-day festival that will take place on the 9, 10, and 11 of December. As of the time this article was written, the only people who can purchase tickets for the Presale 3 event are Indonesian attendees. Group ticket packages are still available for purchase for audiences in Indonesia as well as audiences from other countries.
The Djakarta Warehouse Project will hold its first in-person festival since 2019 with this year’s edition, making it the festival’s 13th overall. The festival was initially launched in 2010 as a rebranding of an event hosted by the Jakarta nightclub Blowfish known as the Blowfish Warehouse Project. The event had a lineup that included Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, and Marco V.
Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Yellow Claw, and Vini Vici were some of the artists who performed at the event in 2020, when it was held virtually instead of in person because of gathering restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was followed by the second edition of the Djakarta Warehouse Project Virtual in 2021, which featured performances from Andrew Rayel, Lost Frequencies, and other Asian DJs such as Bali’s Dipha Barus and Jakarta’s Weird Genius.
The most recent announcement of significant live music events to take place in Indonesia was the Djakarta Warehouse Project 2022. Other events include performances by SEVENTEEN, Justin Bieber, and Boy Pablo, as well as an abundance of music festivals, such as the 137-act Synchronize Fest (whose arrayed lineup features Pamungkas, Oslo Ibrahim, and Grrrl Gang), We The Fest (which features Beabadoobee, Oh Wonder, and Dewa 19), and 88rising’s debut Head In The Clouds Jakarta.
