88rising’s flagship festival, Head in the Clouds, is coming to Manila this December! The two-day event will take place on December 9 and 10 at the SM Festival Grounds in Paranaque City. This announcement was made on Tuesday, August 9, via the newly created HITC Manila Twitter account.
Head in the Clouds Manila: Dates and Tickets
While the artist lineup remains unannounced, two-day passes will go on sale August 11th via SM Tickets. Pricing details are yet to be revealed. Stay tuned to the official channels for updates.

This marks the first time Head in the Clouds will grace Southeast Asia, following previously announced festivals in Los Angeles and Jakarta. The Manila event was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.
88rising’s Philippine Connection
88rising boasts a significant following in the Philippines. In July 2020, they launched Paradise Rising, a record label dedicated to Filipino artists. The label’s inaugural release, the compilation album “semilucent,” featured artists like Jason Dhakal, Kiana V, Fern., Leila Alcasid, and Massiah.
88rising first performed in the Philippines on December 13, 2017, at House Manila, as part of their 2017 Asia tour. The show included performances by Rich Brian, Higher Brothers, and Joji.
The timing of Head in the Clouds Manila is significant, potentially following the Jakarta festival in December. This brings a full 88rising festival experience to the Philippines.
