ASEAN Music Showcase Festival Announced Their Lineup Featuring Pamungkas, AUTTA, and Cheats 2022

This year’s event, which will be held at Singapore’s Haw Par Villa on September 9 and 10, will feature 40 performers from Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. One-day passes cost SGD35 at the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival website, while two-day passes cost SGD60. Tickets are now on sale. The booking charge is not included in any of these pricing.

Cambodian rapper VannDa will be performing alongside musicians from the label Baramey. Meanwhile, Indonesia will be represented by Pamungkas, Basboi, jazz-funk trio Mad MadMen, and Logic Lost; indie-rock soloist IQIF, LONE, and electronic jazz quartet Littlefingers.

YUPP! musicians AUTTA, Flower.Far, AINN, and FIZZIE will play at the festival, among performances from fellow Thai label HYPE TRAIN. In addition, the contingent includes T-pop bands BOOM BOOM CASH and PUN, as well as the Thai independent musician Alec Orachi. The program will include seven Filipino acts, including Cheats and SOS (formerly known as She’s Only Sixteen), rapper-producer kiyo, Fern., KRNA, rapper Young Cocoa, and Ace Banzuelo.

Amateur Takes Control, DJ-producer Fauxe, BGourd, Pleasantry, Ffion, and four-piece math rock band cues will represent Singapore in the competition.

In the year 2020, ASEAN Music Showcase Festival debuted as an online event, showcasing Singapore’s Linying, Marian Carmel, Coming Up Roses, and J.M3. TONTRAKUL, Valentina Ploy, STOIC, and H3F were the artists who were chosen to represent Thailand. Bayangan, Buddha Beat, Golden Mammoth and Mutesite were some of the Malaysian bands that performed with Tanayu, bangkutaman and Jirapah from Indonesia. For the Philippines, it was Pikoy, Cheats, Uprising Record Artists, and August Wahh.

Limebócx, Ngầm, Những Đứa Trẻ, and Sophia Kao were among the first Thai and Vietnamese acts to join the 2021 showcase lineup.
