A Rising Force in the Beer Pong World

Beer pong, a popular drinking game, has exploded in popularity. The game, involving skillful ping pong ball tosses into beer cups, has become both a social phenomenon and a competitive sport. In the Philippines, DJ Jaro Cab has emerged as a leading figure. Known for his talent and dedication, Cab represented the Philippines in two prestigious tournaments: the Asia Cup and the Japan Open Final.

The Team Behind the Tosses

In an exclusive interview with Midnight Rebels, we spoke with DJ Jaro Cab. His beer pong story started in 2015, when he discovered the game and quickly became hooked. Teaming up with the equally skilled Emcy Grey in 2017 significantly elevated their game. Their partnership garnered recognition, establishing them as a strong force in the local beer pong scene. Together, they secured impressive placements in various metropolitan tournaments.

Beer Pong’s Olympic Aspirations

While beer pong’s Olympic inclusion may seem like a distant goal, organizations like the Asia Cup and the World Series of Beer Pong are actively working towards it. Their ambition is to elevate beer pong to a globally recognized official sport. With the game’s growing popularity and passionate community, such a feat would be a momentous achievement.

The C.A.B. and the Philippine Beer Pong Community

In the Philippines, beer pong enthusiasts converge at The C.A.B (Salem and Southside), popular Manila party venues hosting monthly beer pong tournaments. Launched in 2015, The C.A.B.’s events gained significant traction during the 2019 pandemic. They used online tournaments to keep the beer pong community connected, strengthening member camaraderie.
