With an increasing number of daily cases and limited resources to respond quickly enough, the entire country is currently in a high-risk situation. However, this follows one of the world’s most successful streaks in protecting an entire population by maintaining closed borders and reporting only the smallest number of cases. The unfortunate turn of events that Vietnam is currently experiencing, on the other hand, is also accompanied by some exciting homegrown productivity.
Now that they have completed the construction of Hot Pot Studio, a fully-fledged professional recording and production facility, the Hot Panda Media family has announced the launch of their latest venture, Xichlo Records.
To serve Vietnam’s burgeoning musical landscape, house, funk, and dance-floor friendly electronica are at the top of the label’s priority list. However, the label’s longer-term goals are to bring international attention to the independent Vietnamese talent that the label intends to nurture with the assistance of Hot Panda’s agency arm.
“We’re really looking forward to the first few releases from Xichlo Records because they feature music from Steji, D-Tek, Monotape, and other incredible local artists. The goal for us is to encourage producers to create music without restriction, regardless of their age, gender, or place of origin. In recent years, many Vietnamese electronic musicians have attempted to release amazing music without the necessary platform or support. It would be our pleasure to be able to represent these artists, assist them in honing their craft, and bring their music to a wider audience,” says Dong Nguyen, CEO of Hot Panda Media and founder of Xichlo Recordings.
Xichlo’s debut single, ‘On the Internet,’ is the work of Steji, a young and promising bass house and electronic dance music producer who has delivered a ripper of a dance floor track while establishing a sharpshooting trajectory for the label.
D-Tek, Monotape, BeepBeepChild, GET LOOZE, and Tenkitsune are among the artists who have been announced for the project and who we expect to hear from in the near future.
Steji’s new single, “On the Internet,” is available now via Xichlo Records. Take a look at the video below.

WAV vs MP3 vs FLAC For DJing On Massive Sound Systems

Compressed audio files discard vital data that massive club sound systems expose at extreme volumes. This artificial degradation causes harsh high frequencies and induces neurological fatigue in listeners, making lossless formats strictly necessary for professionals.
