J-Hope of BTS Will Be the First Korean Artist to Headline Lollapalooza 2022

The unending ray of sunshine that is J-Hope of BTS is undoubtedly aware of how to light a fire under the timeline. Lollapalooza, a music festival held in Chicago over the course of four days, made the announcement on June 7 regarding the leading bands who would be performing at this year’s event. The news that J-Hope would be performing as the headliner for the Sunday show shocked fans all around the world.

The official Lollapalooza social media accounts have published a video with the BTS rapper and dance captain’s song “Hangsang” in the background. The movie shows a short montage of J-Hope performing in the music videos for “Outro: Ego,” “Dynamite,” “Daydream,” and “Airplane” and “Permission To Dance.”

As a headlining act, the rapper known for “Daydream” will be performing with artists with names such as Lil Baby, Machine Gun Kelly, J. Cole, Dua Lipa, and The Kid Laroi. The annual music festival Lollapalooza will return to Grant Park in Chicago in 2022, and this time it will run from July 28 to July 31.

J-Hope also went on Instagram to reshare the video that Lollapalooza had posted on his page and express his excitement about the forthcoming solo performance that he will be giving.

Shortly after they announced J-Hope as a headliner, Lollapalooza also announced that his labelmates, TXT would make their U.S. festival debut at the event, performing on Lolla’s Saturday date.

In Chicago’s Grant Park, Lollapalooza will take place from July 28 to July 31.
