J-Hope Makes History at Lollapalooza 2022
J-Hope, of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, created history on June 7, 2022, when he was announced as the first Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza. This four-day music festival, held in Chicago (Lollapalooza), saw a wave of excitement from fans worldwide upon the announcement.

The official Lollapalooza social media channels shared a video featuring J-Hope’s song “Hangsang.” The montage showcased the rapper and dance captain’s performances in music videos such as “Outro: Ego,” “Dynamite,” “Daydream,” “Airplane,” and “Permission To Dance.”
J-Hope’s Performance and Fellow Artists
As a headliner, J-Hope shared the stage with renowned artists including Lil Baby, Machine Gun Kelly, J. Cole, Dua Lipa, and The Kid Laroi. Lollapalooza 2022 took place in Chicago’s Grant Park from July 28 to 31.

TXT’s US Festival Debut
Adding to the excitement, Lollapalooza announced that TXT, J-Hope’s labelmates, would make their U.S. festival debut at the event, performing on Saturday.

Lollapalooza offered a variety of ticket options: four-day and single-day General Admission, General Admission Plus, VIP, and Platinum Passes, along with Destination Experience hotel packages. Children aged 10 and under attended for free with a ticketed adult. Tickets were available here.
