The song’s title refers to an island in the Caribbean Sea. Thundercat offers aid to Damon Albarn on the vocals of the song, while Greg Kurstin and Remi Kabaka, Jr. are responsible for the track’s production.

In the previous year, they released a three-track EP named “Meanwhile,” in addition to a large box set commemorating the 20th anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album. Song Machine: Season One — Strange Timez was published by Gorillaz in October of 2020. This album was a compilation of the several star-studded collaborations that the band had released throughout the course of the year.
