Fil-Am Artist ISOxo Is EDM’s Next Big Star

From collabs with household names to a sold-out headline tour and festival stage takeover – there is absolutely no stopping this mad kid from San Diego.

ISOxo: A meteoric rise in the EDM world

Julian Isorena, better known as ISOxo, exploded onto the EDM scene in late 2019. His breakout hit, the glitchy trap anthem “Radial”, a collaboration with his close friend and fellow artist Knock2, was one of the first tracks released on RL Grime’s Sable Valley label. The song’s immediate success saw it quickly become a staple in sets by major players in the trap and bass music genres. Radial Knock2

Early Success and Collaborations

ISOxo followed up “Radial” with another collaboration, this time with the renowned Peekaboo. Released in early 2020, just before the pandemic took hold, “Powermove” further solidified his status as an artist to watch.

The Pandemic and Virtual Performances

The shift to live-streaming and virtual festivals during the pandemic provided ISOxo with a unique opportunity to showcase his talent to a global audience. His performances for Insomniac, Brownies & Lemonade, and RL Grime’s Halloween IX generated significant buzz, revealing not only his production skills but also his exceptional DJ abilities. These sets also featured many unreleased tracks, remixes, and other surprises.

Landmark Collaborations and Solo Success

In April 2021, ISOxo released his biggest collaboration to date: “Stinger” with the legendary RL Grime. This collaboration signaled a major step forward in his career, further heightening anticipation as live events began to return.

July 2021 saw the release of ISOxo’s first solo single on Sable Valley, “Aarena”, complete with a music video—a first for the label. The release generated immense excitement within the trap community.

Nightrealm: A Defining Moment

ISOxo’s debut EP, “Nightrealm,” was released in September 2021, quickly becoming a fan favorite. The EP showcased his unique production style and demonstrated his ability to create a cohesive and impactful body of work.

Sold-Out Shows and Rising Fame

His headline debut show in Los Angeles, celebrating the release of “Nightrealm”, sold out instantly, leading to a venue upgrade. The event, which included special guest appearances by Flosstradamus and RL Grime, was a resounding success.

The Nightrealm Tour and Beyond

In February 2022, ISOxo announced the Nightrealm Tour, hitting major cities across the US. All four shows quickly sold out, cementing his status as a rising star.

Looking Ahead

Update 8/9/2022: ISOxo announced the end of the Nightrealm era with a final show in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theater on November 26th, 2022.

Update 8/12/2022: Due to immediate sell-out, a second date was added. The Nightrealm finale will now span two nights, November 25th and 26th.

Update 8/17/2022: ISOxo announced Nightrealm Tour Phase II, including dates in Seattle, Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Milwaukee, culminating in the two nights at the Fonda in LA.
