Unnamed Sources Policy

Trust is everything to us. As a general rule, we always prefer to name and credit our sources directly. However, the music industry—both in the mainstream business and the underground scene—can sometimes be a sensitive space. If a source wishes to share crucial information but fears professional or personal repercussions, we may grant them anonymity. We only do this if the information is vital to the story and can be independently verified, and we will always explain to our readers why the source requested anonymity.
