- How does it feel to make a comeback after a 2-year hiatus from music production?
I’ve been pretty quiet from actual releases apart from the usual mashup or remix that I put out at random. Hence, actually releasing something original, considering the fact that it’s independent and without a label to fall back on, feels pretty darn good. - When looking back at your previous release, what changes do you notice?
New tricks, new approaches to music production plus, I guess, a more “mature” sound that isn’t all about womps, growls and rhythmic bass stabs. I’ve always enjoyed delving into different territories when it comes to music, learning genres as I go along. That’s something that won’t change at all, so it’s nice to share something different from the years I’ve been known for putting out harder edged, aggressive stuff. - When can we anticipate a follow-up to “Without You”?
Who knows? I’m just taking this one day at a time. Maybe next time I’ll infuse a bit of “Dimas” into it and go for a bailé funk hybrid, or even go back to old Bass Panda mode. I can’t really tell, I’d just rather feel things out instead of planning stuff. It’s more natural and organic to my personality that way. - Could you describe the song and how you intend your listeners to interpret it?
“Without You” is all about loss. Having to deal with someone or something that you may have considered a significant part of your life for however long or short of a time so long as an impact was made, and dealing with the eventual disappearance of it from your life. Your daily routine of talking to someone from morning until bedtime, spending time with them as much as you can, appreciating the little moments, all of those gone like specks of dust blowing in the wind or a tornado that sweeps you off your feet and watches you fall all by yourself… A lingering sadness and longing for a return to days of old, that’s what “Without You” is all about.
