Out of sheer curiosity, one of our interns decided to explore this recently. Firing up Google’s ImageFX AI image generator, the goal was simple: randomly generate some “cool and weird” DJ scenarios, just for fun. Full disclaimer: the titles of each image are the actual prompts used to generate the image.

The results were surprisingly impressive. ImageFX didn’t just produce vague shapes; it rendered images with a level of detail that was remarkably close to perfection. Details like the correct number of fingers on hands – often a stumbling block for AI – and even recognizable brand ‘Pioneer’ on the DJ equipment is almost accurately depicted.

While many outputs were striking, the standout image, and a personal favorite, perfectly captured the “cool and weird” brief. It depicted superstar DJ Deadmau5 casually hanging out with none other than Keanu Reeves. The unexpected twist? They were seemingly inside the iconic, neutral territory of the Continental Hotel from the John Wick universe. The sheer pop-culture crossover randomness made it an instant classic within our team.
This impromptu experiment turned into a fun dive into the creative (and sometimes bizarre) potential of AI image generation. While started just for laughs, it showcased how tools like ImageFX can bring even the wildest “what ifs” to life with impressive detail. It certainly sparked our imagination about what other strange and wonderful scenes AI could conjure up!
