ACCESS: The Vision and The Artists

On the evening of January 28th, The Green Door, a staple of Philippine nightlife, will stage a party of unparalleled distinction. The party, dubbed ACCESS, will feature a slew of techno and house artists, each known for their eclectic and diverse styles of electronic and dance music. Brian Cua, John Odin, Mermaids, Strodano, Basura, and others. This diverse artist lineup promises to provide a truly exceptional and stimulating experience for all who attend.

The underlying concept of ACCESS is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their passion for music while also allowing the audience to share in that passion. The event is planned to take place in the most intimate setting possible, allowing the audience to become an accomplice in the performance. This approach allows for a more in-depth understanding and appreciation of the music as well as the culture that surrounds it.

BRIAN CUA

DJ and music producer Brian Cua is noted for his innovative take on house music, which often incorporates elements of other styles of electronic music. His sets are like a voyage through a variety of soundscapes, taking listeners on an emotional trip. For over a decade, he has wowed audiences with his jaw-dropping stage antics. Brian Cua is a music industry veteran and award-winning composer/producer.

JOHN ODIN

When it comes to dance music and techno in the Philippines, you’d be hard put not to have heard of John Odin. A DJ and producer, who has been establishing a reputation for being one of the most productive artists in the nation’s underground electronic scene, charting on Beatport’s hard techno and performing in numerous nations; he’s definitely one to see live. Known for his dark, brooding techno sound. His sets take listeners on a trip through the depths of techno, taking them through the genre’s many varied sub-genres. He’s a master at setting a tone and developing tension.

MERMAIDS

Mermaids, also known as DJ Joey Santos, is a DJ and music producer noted for his high-energy performances and driving beats. He has worked as a member of a rock band and as a contributing writer for a DJ and music production website. Under this moniker, he is an expert at fusing parts of techno, house, and other electronic music genres to create a distinct sound that keeps the crowd moving all night. He’s a must-see live performer with a strong understanding of music.

STRODANO

The audio visual duo known as STRODANO is on a whole different level when it comes to having a crystal clear conceptual idea of what the electronic music industry ought to be like and how it should configure. This DJ/Producer/Visualizer has the ability to take the audience into a state of euphoria no matter the size of the stage they are on or the size of the venue they are in.

BASURA

Under the identity BASURA, Jared Celemin is a house and techno aficionado who grew up in Chicago and spent a good chunk of his youth downtown raving and DJing, giving him a solid foundation in the culture. DJing and producing one’s own music. The vision is to come up with a one-of-a-kind identity that can be admired and revered while also giving a distinctive impact to the concept of what an artist is supposed to be.

Midnight Rebels, a cultural movement that brings together artists with a shared perspective on the function of music in society, created ACCESS. An event that can only be described as a convergence of art, culture, and entertainment. In hope to inspire creativity and ingenuity in the nightlife community by bringing together some of the region’s most talented artists.
