PREPARE FOR A ZOMBIE-INFESTED STALINGRAD IN CALL OF DUTY: VANGUARD

In addition, it continues the Dark Aether storyline that began in ‘Black Ops Cold War’.

Prior to the game’s November 5th release date, we’ve gotten a look at both the single-player and multiplayer components of Call of Duty: Vanguard. A new trailer and blog posts from the game’s publisher, Activision, were released on Thursday, giving players a first look at the game’s upcoming Zombies mode.

Vanguard’s Zombies mode, which was developed by Treyarch, is tied into the Dark Aether storyline that was established in Black Ops Cold War. Approximately one year after suffering a crushing defeat at the Battle of Stalingrad, a Nazi officer by the name of Oberführer Wolfram Von List comes across a mysterious artifact that binds him to an entity known as Kortifex and grants him the ability to summon a legion of the living dead. It is up to you and up to three other players to fight your way through the ruins of Stalingrad and bring him to justice.

During the course of a game and the completion of objectives, you’ll come across items known as Sacrificial Hearts. By offering these at an Altar of Covenants, you can gain access to randomized upgrades that will change the way you play. You can reload your weapons while they are holstered with one of these upgrades, and another will allow you to turn zombies into temporary allies with another upgrade.

Any experience points you earn while playing Zombies will be applied to Vanguard’s Batte Pass, which also allows you to progress between multiplayer and Warzone. In addition, cross-platform play between different consoles will be supported by the mode. Vanguard is set to launch on November 5th, as previously stated. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
