URBN emerged in 2012 as a unique nightclub in Bonifacio Global City. It evolved into a cultural hotspot, fostering local talent and supporting social causes, redefining nightlife.
URBN burst onto the scene in 2012, right in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC). It wasn’t just another nightclub; it was the place to be when EDM (Electronic Dance Music) was taking over the world.
From Day One, URBN stood out. It became a cultural hotspot where night owls found their flock. As EDM’s popularity soared, URBN helped push the genre into the spotlight in the Philippines.
Success led to growth. In 2015, URBN opened in Quezon City. By 2023, it had spread its wings to Makati and Angeles City. This expansion turned URBN from a local hotspot into a nightlife empire.
A Platform for Local Talent
But URBN isn’t just about partying. It’s a springboard for local talent. Many Filipino DJs and MCs got their big break here. I myself, as a bedroom DJ, had my first big break at URBN Makati. It happened during one of their Midnight Mondays, where aspiring DJs can drop by and jam out. I was lucky enough to be part of the rotation, and I’ve witnessed countless other aspiring DJs get the same opportunity.

This commitment to nurturing new talent is a cornerstone of URBN’s identity. While international acts have played at URBN, the real stars are the homegrown artists who call it home.
URBN prides itself on being a place for everyone. It draws in all kinds of people, united by their love for music and good times. This inclusive spirit extends to its staff too. URBN has created job opportunities for people who might struggle to find work elsewhere, including individuals of smaller stature.
Giving Back to the Community
Recently, URBN has taken on a new mission. Under new owner Will Crozier, an American philanthropist, the club is giving back to the community. Led by Gavin Skewes and Aly Felix, URBN is changing what it means to be a nightclub.
Now, when you party at URBN, you’re also helping others. The club uses its profits to support various causes. They’ve raised millions of pesos and even helped set up orphanages in the Philippines.
It’s an unusual mix – a place where you can dance all night, knowing your fun is funding good causes. URBN proves that nightlife can be about more than just having a good time. It can be a force for positive change too.
A New Era of Nightlife
As someone who’s seen many clubs come and go, and who’s experienced URBN’s impact firsthand, I find their story inspiring. It’s not just following trends; it’s setting them. By combining great parties with social responsibility and opportunities for new talent, URBN is creating a new kind of nightlife.
URBN isn’t just a club anymore. It’s a movement. It shows that nightlife can be fun, inclusive, and socially conscious all at once. As URBN continues to grow, it’s setting a new standard for what clubs can achieve.
URBN is a community fostering creativity, providing opportunities, and driving positive change. It’s a place where music, people, and purpose converge, creating a dynamic and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
In line with this, the URBN family is inviting everyone to celebrate their 12th year in business this coming August 23 at their QC base. Expect surprises and many more announcements.
