During the Ultraman panel that took place on Saturday at Anime Expo, Tsuburaya Productions and Marvel Comics made the announcement that they are producing a crossover comic book mini series that will make its debut in 2023. Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel will travel through time and space to enter the Ultraman universe. Once there, they will join forces with the titular Ultraman and the Ultraseven to fight kaiju and other supervillains.

The series will be integrated into the ongoing Ultraman comic book continuity that was first published by Marvel Comics and Tsuburaya Productions in 2020. The Rise of Ultraman, The Trials of Ultraman, and the soon-to-be-released The Mystery of Ultraseven.
The Ultraman franchise, which was established in 1966 and celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2021, was produced by Tsuburaya Productions. On May 13, the newest Shin Ultraman movie from Studio Khara was released in Japan. Shinji Higuchi, the director of Shin Godzilla, and his team, Higuchi-Gumi, oversaw the project, and Hideaki Anno, the creator of Evangelion, was in charge of the planning and scripts for the project.
