Custom keyboards have seen an increase in popularity since the pandemic began, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Twisties Malaysia is one of the many businesses that have jumped on the (expensive) bandwagon.

Twisties is a snack manufacturer based in Malaysia that produces corn snacks in a variety of flavours for consumers. With the launch of their brand new flavor, Kaya Butter Toast, the company released several interesting accessories, including a custom keyboard, to go along with the flavor.

The keyboard, which goes by the name of the Kaya Butter Toast Keyboard or KBT123, first appeared on their Instagram account yesterday and caused quite a commotion among those who are interested in keyboards. According to the images posted on their social media account, the keyboard features a 60 percent layout.

From an aesthetic standpoint, the keyboard has a white base, white and orange shine-through keycaps, and several artisans in the shape of what appears to be the Twisties snack itself, alongside the kaya butter toast that you’d find at kopitiams (coffee shops) throughout Malaysia.

Despite the fact that the keyboard has a blue backlight, the box indicates that the keyboard also has RGB lighting for all of you rainbow puke fans out there. In addition, linear switch enthusiasts may be disappointed because the box contains the words “Click, Clack, Crunch,” which leads us to believe that the keyboard is equipped with Cherry MX Blue switches or something similar to the clacky variant of the Cherry MX Blue switches. Let’s hope it’s hot swappable, because that would be awesome!

The keyboard isn’t for sale (unfortunately), but if you’re interested in having a chance to win one, head over to @hanxiiaoaii‘s Instagram page to find out how you can enter to win one on February 9, 2022 during her giveaway.
