Featuring the first three levels from Kirby’s first world, the demo gives players a taste of the action-adventure that has been compared to The Last of Us and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which was initially unveiled in September, is the pink puffball’s first fully 3D adventure, which is quite impressive considering that Nintendo’s cuddliest eldritch monstrosity first appeared on the scene all the way back in 1992. A teaser trailer for Kirby’s Adventure was published earlier this week, revealing how the character will explore this new universe.
One of the game’s new features is Kirby’s ability to devour an entire automobile and transform into “Carby,” which rapidly became a popular joke among fans of the game. Is there anything else in Forgotten Land that’s new and terrifying? Perhaps we’ll find out during the demo.
The Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo is now available for download from the Nintendo Switch eShop. The full version of the game will be released on March 25.
