A cool gaming controller for the most popular video streaming service will provide an unprecedented level of control over the in-game action, allowing you to have hours of fun while on the go with friends.
More than a decade has passed since Netflix first introduced streaming content to the world, and the company continues to innovate. According to Statista, the platform had a staggering 207.64 million paid subscribers worldwide as of the first quarter of 2021. However, according to internal reports, Netflix’s growth graph has been flattening over the last couple of years, and the gaming industry is the next big thing to look forward to in the coming years. Unlike other Netflix services, this gaming service will be included in the company’s current portfolio and will be provided at no additional cost to subscribers. Netflix will gain an advantage over current competitors such as Disney+, Amazon Prime Videos, and Apple TV+ as a result of this.
The cloud gaming service is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year, and an announcement could come as early as the end of this year. This presents an excellent opportunity for concept designers to create Netflix-branded gaming accessories, which will ultimately serve to strengthen the platform in the same way that Google Stadia, Xbox Gaming Pass, Nividia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna have done so. With a form factor that is reminiscent of the Nintendo Joy-Con controllers while still being distinctive in its own right, the gaming controller is unlike anything else on the market.
Using their imaginations, designers Seong Bin Yoon and Cheolhee Lee have created a design that is suitable for both casual gaming and AR and VR-assisted gaming enjoyment. The vertical grip positioning, which includes bumper buttons on the sides, is in line with that vision of complete freedom of movement in all directions, according to the designer. The joystick, directional pad, and buttons for in-game input are all located on the front of the console. In an unusual twist, the left and right sections of the controller can move independently of one another, giving you greater control and, consequently, a tactical advantage when using these buttons.
