A number of leaked gameplay and story elements from Nintendo’s upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus game have begun to surface online ahead of the game’s scheduled release on January 28. If you want to avoid spoilers before starting the game, you may want to avoid social media for a while – at least until the initial storm has passed.
In spite of the fact that Nintendo has been relatively quick in its attempts to remove images from the internet that contain copyrighted material from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a slew of screenshots from throughout the game are still making the rounds on the internet.
The most recent wave of Pokémon leaks appears to have originated from boxed retail versions of the game, rather than digital review copies, as opposed to previous waves of Pokémon leaks. Photos of a number of players holding copies of the game have begun appearing on social media in the last 24 hours, along with screenshots of the game.
Even though we won’t be sharing specifics about the content that has been leaked, Twitter user Stealth40k provided a rundown of what you should look out for in the future. In addition to the game’s opening movie and new Pokémon, Stealth claims that the list of features includes “pretty much everything else that you wouldn’t want to be ruined.”
There is just over a week until the official release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and you can avoid spoilers by using mute words and taking a cautious approach when scrolling down the page. In the meantime, Nintendo recently released thirteen additional minutes of gameplay from the game that was both intended for release and packed with a number of satisfying scenes to supplement the rebellious part of your brain that might be tempted to go hunting for Pokémon content.
A number of new features that are set to be included in Arceus are discussed in the clip itself, including the way in which Pokémon will be captured while out in the wild, the game’s overhauled combat system, and how Noble Pokémon boss battles will function.
