OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE LAST OF US TV SERIES ON HBO

The first look at HBO’s upcoming television series “The Last of Us,” which will star Pedro Pascal, has been released.

There will be a television adaptation of The Last of Us, one of the most popular and critically acclaimed video games on the PlayStation platform. And not just any TV adaptation, but one that has the potential to be good. The project, which is set to air on HBO and is directed by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin, stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the roles of Joel and Ellie.

Now, thanks to Neil Druckmann, the director of the video game series The Last of Us, we’ve gotten our first glimpse of what the show will look like on television.

There is also a downed airplane visible in the distance, but it is unclear whether this will be a plot point for the first season or simply something in the background to demonstrate the horrors that exist in this world. Because there was no scene involving an airplane in the first The Last of Us, it’s possible that this is a new story for these characters that we’ll be exploring in the future.

Druckmann is also involved in the television production, co-writing the show with Craig Mazin and serving as an executive producer.

With The Last of Us, you take on the role of smuggler Joel, whose mission is to transport Ellie, a teenage girl, across the post-apocalyptic United States where law and order have completely crumbled. The game received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
