No Straight Roads has been so well received that the company has just launched an Encore Edition on Steam. When it comes to the PC version of the game, it was formerly restricted to the Epic Game Store.
Fan-made art makes an appearance in the universe of No Straight Roads in this latest edition of the game, which comes with a slew of improvements and new features.
Game director Wan Hazmer is in sync with No Straight Roads fans, which is why he and his team felt it was appropriate to pay tribute to them in this way. The studio’s confidence in their next project was based on the same affection and support from fans.
Metronomik gave fans a glimpse into a new fantasy realm during the No Straight Roads anniversary livestream, and it was unlike anything we’d ever seen before. Ondeh Ondeh, the company’s next game, was just unveiled as part of this project.
Ondeh Ondeh will be an audio-centric game, similar to the rock-and-roll hack-and-slash No Straight Roads, however the company claims it will be a completely different experience from their debut.
In comparison to No Straight Roads’ psychedelic universe, Ondeh Ondeh will be situated in a far wilder and magical scenario while yet maintaining the Metronomik charm.
The team went for a grandiose presentation with No Straight Roads, according to creative director Daim Dziauddin. This time, they’ve decided that Ondeh Ondeh will tone down the explosive components of their prior game in favor of giving fans a far more unique experience.
This new game is inspired by the same-named Malaysian treat, which is often a cooked rice cake formed into a ball, packed with melted palm sugar, and topped with coconut flakes.
While it’s unclear whether Metronomik will follow suit with a sweet treat for fans, the studio has stated that Ondeh Ondeh will have a tale that wonderfully intertwines compelling quantities of adventure, art, and Malaysian culture.
Ondeh Ondeh appears to be a third-person adventure game, similar to the PlayStation exclusive Tearaway, based on the gameplay we saw in the first teaser.
Let’s hope we get to see more of Ondeh Ondeh in the future, especially in terms of the game’s universe and gameplay.
