Love Esquire by Yangyang Mobile is one of the most innovative dating simulations to come out of Southeast Asia. A romantic-comedy visual novel and dating sim game, with the addition of turn-based RPG combat, is what the game is about.
The game was originally released on Steam in 2019, and it has only recently been made available on the Nintendo Switch. It also took home the award for Best Audio at the SEA Game Awards the previous year.
In Love Esquire, you take on the role of a hapless squire to a valiant knight. As you attend to the whims of your martial master, you will come across five heroines whom you can woo as you go about your business.

Besides having their own individual backstories, intertwining plot threads, and a slew of little secrets for players to discover, each of these dateable waifus has their own unique backstory, intertwining plot threads, and a variety of little secrets for players to discover. Follow your heart and court the girl of your dreams, whether she is the spunky merchant Vel Scharfe or the diplomatic princess Kamala Copperheart.
It is possible for players to forge romantic relationships with the heroine they desire by saying the right things and giving her gifts. There are a couple of different endings that the player can experience depending on their choices.
There are battles to be fought first, however, before any of that can happen. As a squire, the player’s primary responsibility is to keep their knight alive during turn-based battles. The squire must heal, loot, and devise other strategies to win battles as he comes face to face with monsters.

In addition to being essential for victory, increasing your stats has a positive impact on your ability to attract the attention of dateable waifs. In the words of the game itself, ‘git gud, get laid’.
Visit Steam and the Nintendo eShop if Love Esquire sounds like something you’d enjoy playing.
