Most gamers would expect roguelites to be played in 2D or from some sort of top-down perspective, which is not always the case. In third-person, there aren’t many roguelites to choose from, with the exception of Risk of Rain 2.
In comes Malaysian game Endura, a new experience developed by IFiO Studio in which players engage in high-speed action, battling fantastical beasts, delivering seeds from a mysterious tree, and uncovering the secrets of a mysterious world.
The plot of the game revolves around Jack, a new recruit in an organization known as Endura, which protects the poor and provides them with basic necessities on a daily basis. Jack has recently been released from prison and is on the lookout for his father.
Throughout the campaign, players will assist Jack in achieving his goal, all while he continues to complete his daily Endura missions. At various points along the way, Jack and his allies will be required to restore the world tree Yagra and defeat a group of evil titans known as the Ulek Mayan.
Grappling hooks and a slow-motion mechanic are among the various movement options available to players during the game’s gameplay. Additionally, at the conclusion of each run, players will be ranked, with higher ranks unlocking even more missions.
In addition to Jack, who serves as the game’s protagonist, there are four other heroes to choose from, each with their own special moves and abilities, and each of whom can be fully customized from head to toe.

Beyond the main campaign mode, which revolves around Jack and the mystery surrounding his father, there are several other modes to play, including Seed Delivery Mode, which is focused on delivering magical seeds to their destinations as quickly as possible; Haven’s Guard, which is a kind of horde mode in which players defend a settlement; and the boss rush known as Darken Hunt.
Endura is scheduled to be released on PC and consoles in 2023 on both platforms. For more information on this upcoming game, keep up with IFiO Studio on Facebook.
