MIDNIGHTREBELS-MAYHEM

HEXTECH MAYHEM IS A RHYTHM GAME BASED ON LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

A new game in the League of Legends world has been unveiled by Riot Forge. Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is a rhythm game that will be released on November 16 for the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix.

Hextech Mayhem is a rhythm runner game starring Ziggs, a yordle with an insatiable appetite for explosives. To the beat of the soundtrack, players must complete bomb leaps and bomb attacks. Players will have to avoid obstacles as well as light fuses strewn throughout the stages that might kick off a chain reaction of explosions.

Only two League of Legends characters were revealed in the official release. Ziggs, the game’s playable character, and Heimerdinger, a straight-laced scientist who serves as a contrast to Ziggs’ pranks in the game’s backstory. Ziggs’ aim is to make the largest bomb Runeterra has ever seen, and Heimerdinger will try to stop the player from completing it.

Choice Provisions, a game production firm headquartered in Santa Cruz, California that specializes in rhythm games, is working on the game. Choice Provisions is most known for the Bit.Trip series, particularly Runner3. Riot Forge, a label under Riot Games, is releasing Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, a game that is “completable” but does not feature the repeated gameplay loop of League of Legends or Legends of Runeterra.

More details regarding Hextech Mayhem will be unveiled during a Riot Forge Video showcase on November 16 at 11 a.m. ET. On the same day, Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story will be released on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix app.
