While many people are familiar with Cédric Hervet as the long-time creative director of Daft Punk, others are familiar with him as the founder of the renowned design company Hervet Manufacturier. And the latest project from the French firm is a collector’s dream for everyone who enjoys arcade games.
With a retrofuturistic design reminiscent of Daft Punk’s own style in mind, Hervet has created a one-of-a-kind arcade console dubbed The Arcadia, which he hopes will inspire others to do the same. His business will only construct 12 devices, each of which will contain a Bose SoundTouch as well as 520 classic arcade games such as Pac-Man and Space Invaders.
Many other gorgeous objects are created by Hervet Manufacturier, including bespoke tables, chairs, a foosball table, and even skateboards, among other things. All of these pieces include a warm fusion of metal and wood to evoke an 80s aesthetic.
The Arcadia is priced at €23,800, which is approximately 27,000 in U.S. dollars. More information about the extremely uncommon arcade console may be found here.
The remix pack features several high-profile Asian artists.
