With its irreverent appeal and addicting gameplay, Claw Stars by iCandy has been awarded the coveted Google Play Best of 2021 Award for Best Pick Up & Play game in the category of Pick Up & Play games.

This honor will enable Google Play to highlight the Malaysian game as part of the company’s Best of 2021 campaign, which will give it a prominent feature in the Google Play Store. Claw Stars will also feature on other Google channels, such as YouTube and Google+.

In addition to recognizing the finest applications, games, movies, and books of the year, the award is regarded a Google tradition at the conclusion of the calendar year.

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, Kawaii Mansion: Hidden Objects, Play Together, and Towers: Relaxing Puzzle are some of the other games that have won Best Pick Up & Play accolades in recent years.

Counter:Side, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Marvel Future Revolution, Three Kingdoms Tactics, and Ragnarok X: Next Generation were the winners of this year’s Best Competitive honors, which were given out by the gaming press. This year’s Best Game award went to the latter, who also received the prize for overall best game.

Alchemy Stars, JanKenUP!, Pokémon Unite, Sixit, and The Ants: Underground Kingdom were the winners of the Best Game Changers awards, which were given out for their creative gameplay mechanics and gameplay experiences.

Finally, we have the Best Independent Games awards, which went to Huntdown, My Friend Pedro: Ripe for Revenge, Psychofunk, Puzzling Peaks EXE, and Ronin: The Last Samurai, among other titles. While the majority of the winners on this year’s list are free-to-play games, it’s nice to see Google recognize outstanding paid mobile experiences as well as free-to-play games.

After iCandy announced its acquisition of Lemon Sky Studios in November, the award was given to Claw Stars as a thank you for their hard work. Lemon Sky Studios and iCandy are collaborating to develop blockchain-based game experiences for both casual and triple-A gaming audiences, respectively.

With a strong portfolio of video games that includes big global AAA titles such as The Last of Us: Part 2, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and many others, Lemon Sky Studios was founded in 2006 and is based in San Francisco, California (USA).
