Although Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not be released until next spring, another game from the franchise will be released soon — and it will be available exclusively on Apple Arcade. Lego Star Wars Battles is a real-time strategy game in which players face off against each other in one-on-one battles in the Star Wars universe.
You’ll amass a collection of upgradable characters, troops, and vehicles from every era of the Star Wars universe as you progress through the game. You’ll be able to pit porgs against characters like Boba Fett, for example. If you expect to play on one side of the Force, you’ll be disappointed. You’ll have a deck of light and dark side armies to choose from, each with its own play style. There are a variety of abilities available to you as well, including Darth Vader’s Force Slam and Luke Skywalker’s Force Push.
You’ll be able to claim territory by constructing Lego towers on the battlefield and defending them with your friends. Some of the locations are familiar to Star Wars fans, such as Hoth, Naboo, and Endor, among others.
Lego Star Wars Battles is being developed by TT Games Brighton, with Warner Bros. Games serving as the publisher. However, it will not be the first Lego game to be released on Apple Arcade. Lego Brawls and Lego Builder’s Journey are two of the most recent games to be added to the service. In June, the latter title was released on PC and Nintendo Switch.
