Instruments that specialize in different types of synthesis are tucked away in brightly colored cases that can be completely customized. There are some design similarities between the two instruments, including a relatively large touchscreen, two knobs and four buttons to control the action, a colorful enclosure, as well as input and output (I/O) to integrate into your set-up.
Lemondrop Granular Synth

Sound sources for the Lemondrop include two granular engines and an oscillator, which work together to create a unique sound. In addition, there are two multi-mode filters and six onboard effects – flanger, distortion, chorus, phaser, delay, and reverb – to assist you in creating your own unique sound. Two multi-wave LFOs, two envelope generators, a mod sequencer, and two envelope generators are all found in the modulation section.
Fireball Wavetable Synth

The Fireball is a wavetable synthesizer that features two multi-mode filters, as well as the same effects and modulation capabilities as its citrusy counterpart, the Citrus Juice. Because of the Fireball’s built-in MIDI ports, it appears that it can be easily integrated into setups that use an external keyboard to play notes and control the device’s parameters.
Additional features and I/O
Both the Lemondrop and Fireball come pre-loaded with more than 100 presets and.wav files to get you up and running quickly and easily. In terms of connectivity, Mini-TRS is used for MIDI In and Out, Clock In, Line In and Line Out, and Line In and Line Out. Each device also includes an SD card, a USB-C to USB-A cable, and a MIDI adaptor (3.5 TRS to 5-pin), all of which are standard accessories.
Pricing and availability
A launch video for 1010music‘s new Nanobox instruments will be released later today, which you can watch in its entirety below. A release date has not yet been announced for either instrument, which is priced at 449€ each.
